Item Description
The Museum's hand-painted Egyptian Patterns Circles Bangle showcases the extraordinary geometric patterns displayed in the Egyptian galleries. Nearly three hundred facsimiles of ancient Egyptian wall paintings include an astonishing variety of colorful geometric patterns featuring rosettes, quatrefoils, and spirals combined with checkerboards and zigzags. Our bangle captures the vibrant colors and shapes of a painted ceiling from the tomb of Nebamun and Ipuky, in the El Khoka necropolis in Western Thebes.
Wood. Hand painted. Inner circumference: 8 1/4''; 1/2''W.
