Item Description
Bid on this antique Cathedral Pickle Jar featuring aquamarine colored glass and a hexagonal shape with fancy gothic arches and 3" wide panels. The mouth of the jar measures 2 1/2" in diameter. The jar measures 13 1/2" in height x 5 1/2" in width at the base. In excellent condition.
Cathedral pickle jars contained store-bought pickles. They were made from 1880 to 1920 and were often embossed with a gothic pattern. Colors include aqua, dark green, and amber. The deeper the color and the more intricate the design, the more valuable the bottle.

This item is available for in-person preview at the CCC's Wine & Cheese Online Auction Preview from 4:30-6:30pm on March 18, at 778 Main Street, South Portland, Maine.
