Useful Tips & Frequently Asked Questions
Great value:
We do our best to provide a great value to our guests every day, with an all-inclusive (rides, shows & attractions), reasonably-priced admission ticket, FREE parking, FREE stroller use, and FREE pet kennels. For an even Better Value, guests may enter the park during the last 3 hours of any day (after 3pm in July & August or after 2pm in the other months), purchase full admission, and receive a free pass to come back the next day.
For what age groups is Story Land most appropriate?
Generally speaking, Story Land is geared to children between the ages of 2 and 12.
What are the best days to visit?
Fridays & Sundays generally have lighter visitor counts, while Saturday is usually the busiest day of the week. June & July are less busy than August, and any weekend September through Columbus Day is also a great time to visit. Rainy days are great days to visit, as most of our rides and attractions operate in the rain (some may close temporarily during downpours or thunder & lightning) and lines are practically non-existent.
Where do we park?
We have plenty of FREE parking at Story Land. Guests in motor homes and campers please enter the north driveway and proceed straight ahead to designated spaces.
Strollers:
NEW: We are very happy to offer premium stroller rentals for the comfort of the little ones!
Single Stroller: $6.00 per day Double Stroller: $8.00 per day
In addition, for those needing assistance with mobility
Manual Wheelchairs: $5.00 per day
Electric Convenience Vehicle (ECV): $35.00 per day
Please note: We have a limited number of Wheelchairs & ECVs available
Pet Kennels:
Available for use FREE of charge on a first come, first served basis. They may be found next to the train depot in the north end of our main parking lot. We have 26 kennels (16 square feet with roofs), double locked and attended by our Park Services personnel. If no one is present please press the pager button next to the kennel entrance.
Can we leave the park and return on the same day?
Of course! Please stop at Guest Services at the Exit for a hand stamp on your way out to re-enter as often as you’d like on the day of your visit.
What if it rains?
If a driving rainstorm unexpectedly begins after guests have entered the park, and continues non-stop for at least a half-hour with no sign of relief, guests will receive rain checks as they exit the park. Rain checks are good only for the current season. We do not refund admission dollars
