Item Description
Mendocino Mornings (Photograph , 35"W x 9"H), Jim Moorehead
Jim Moorehead's interest in nature photography has grown from his extensive world travels. Beginning at an early age, with a simple Brownie Hawkeye, he has been intrigued with the camera's ability to record scenes, experiences, and observations for posterity. Since he and his wife Arlene retired from the innkeeping business and sold the Joshua Grindle Inn in 2001, Jim has focused on photography of landscapes, wildlife, and whatever captures his eye and viewfinder, frequently along the Mendocino coast, and from his travels to the far reaches of the globe. In addition to capturing poignant moments and aesthetics of nature, he is intrigued by the creative possibilities resulting from digital manipulation of images. He strives to allow his photographs to speak to the viewer through nonverbal means.
Jim is a resident of Mendocino, CA, and member Mendocino Eco Artists. Jim is also a member of the Artists Coop Gallery in Mendocino, where he is on Leave of Absence so that he may devote his energy full time to The Broadband Alliance of Mendocino County.
