Item Description
We are proud to feature this amazing paw print from our spectacled bear, Houdini. This bright purple paw print looks almost human, showing five toes and wisps of fur.
The spectacled bear of South America gets one of its common names from the rings of white or light fur around its eyes, which look like eyeglasses (or spectacles) against the rest of the black or dark brown fur. These markings often extend down the chest, giving each bear a unique appearance. San Diego Zoo Global is working closely with the Spectacled Bear Conservation Society to build strong relationships with the local communities and making incredible discoveries about bear biology in Peru.
