Item Description
Safely Town is a nine day, two hour per day program for children who are entering Kindergarten. Children are presented with safety topics which include: pedestrian, railroad, passenger, gun, household, electrical, bus, fire, bike, playground and animal safety as well as poison prevention and stranger danger. Throughout the day, the topic is reinforced through stories, songs, videos, projects and guest speakers. The children enjoy a field trip on a bus to the Birmingham Fire Station. Additionally, as an introduction to traffic safety, they spend time each day driving their specially designed Safety Town cars on the streets of Safety Town. Contact Teri at 248-203-5803 to schedule Safety Town by April 1, 2013. Choice of dates are June 18-28 or July 9-19, 2013.
