College consultants charge hundreds of dollars for the kind of information you'll learn from Dan Cattau - journalist, higher education consultant, and alumni admissions volunteer for Colgate University.
On Sunday, April 21, Dan is teaming up with Chef Kristine Subido, a Northside neighbor, at her celebrated restaurant, the Pecking Order.
Following Kristine's signature Filipino dinner, Dan will discuss the current state of the college application process, addressing essay strategies, the pros and cons of early decision and early action, the value of pursuing liberal arts over more specialized training, and the advantages conferred by an athletic background or other unique talents.
Item Special Note
Dinner and discussion will be held on Sunday, April 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Pecking Order, 4416 North Clark Street.
