Enjoy a classic rail journey from Chicago to New Orleans, or vice versa, on board a stylish Pullman train. Travelers may choose to begin their trip from either city. Known for its art-deco design, comfortable accommodations, and superb service, the original Pullman Company pioneered superior first class travel in America, and you will travel as they did in the 1940s.

From the moment you board, the attentive crew is dedicated to providing the highest level of service. Classic American dining, and an engaging social setting are essential elements, from spirits and snacks in the Club Car, available throughout the trip, to freshly prepared meals in the Dining Car.

The Category B Double Bedroom features an upper and lower berth, private toilet and sink. Each sleeping car has been carefully restored to be as historically accurate as possible, upholding the traditions of style, safety and comfort. Power outlets and wireless internet access have also been added for your convenience.

Enjoy views of the Chicago skyline as you set off across America, and watch as rivers transform to pastoral farmland and the mighty Mississippi River. Gaze at Lake Pontchartrain before your arrival in New Orleans, known for its ornate architecture, festive atmosphere, and Cajun and Creole cuisine.

Pullman Rail Journeys is scheduled to depart Chicago’s Union Station at 8:00pm CT every Tuesday and Friday, and arrive into New Orleans’ Union Station at the following day at 3:45pm CT.

Northbound departures from New Orleans will be every Thursday and Sunday at 1:45pm CT with arrival into Chicago the following day at 9:00am CT.

The entire journeys is 934 miles and is approximately 19 ½ hours.

Travel is valid until March 29, 2014.

Reservations are required, and travel is subject to availability at the time of reservation.

Retail value of $3,900 is round-trip single or double occupancy. There is no remaining value if redeemed by only one traveler or if travel is only one-way.
