phrase
" The crossed out message (Sho ga nai), a common phrase in Japanese translating roughly to ' It can't be helped,' expresses the acceptance of conditions beyond one's control. The phrase on the right, (Dekiru de), is less a Japanese idiom than a statement of one's ability to do something or enact change. The use of the particle de in this phrase comes from the Osaka district, which is more forceful than other forms of Japanese.
Special thanks to Shige Ogura for his assistance with translation." -Ian Rogers
