Leigh Nisonson is a painter who lives and works in NYC. Manhattan native Nisonson is known for her vibrant image- and color-distorting paintings that examine the connection between the urban and natural worlds. Light Box Lace is part of her most recent series, which exhibited at Nisonson's solo show at Hampton Hang Gallery in Water Mill over the summer. The Light Boxes are inspired by Nisonson's collaboration with PinkClouds (e-commerce site) to create exclusive painted scarves and sarongs.
