Hunting the "Prince of Game Birds" is a great southern tradition. Our conservation partners at GA DNR have provided The Wildlife Foundation of Florida with the ultimate weekend QUAIL ONLY hunting package at the famous Southern Woods Plantation, in the middle of the Bobwhite Belt in South Georgia, about an hour north of Tallahassee.
And some of the finest bird dogs and FWC’s Executive Director Nick Wiley as your host, this weekend hunting package at Southern Woods Plantation in Sylvester, Georgia, makes for a once in a lifetime experience. Encompassing 2,325 acres of towering Georgia pines, old-field pastures, and peaceful ponds, Southern Woods Plantation offers its guests sensational wing shooting action and superb southern hospitality.
You and two of your chosen guests will accompany FWC Executive Director Nick Wiley at the Lodge at Southern Woods for Friday evening cocktails and dinner, preparing for the next day's quail hunting experience of a lifetime. Breakfast is served and you and your hunt party are off to the morning hunt, enjoying the bountiful landscape and perfect atmosphere that only a property like Southern Woods can offer. Everyone gathers for lunch and shares one last hunt together before heading home, taking with you lifelong quail hunting memories. This hunting package for three guests includes one-night accommodations, Friday evening supper, Saturday breakfast and lunch, and two-half day guided quail hunts. Hunters are required to bring their own guns. Trip must be taken on a mutually agreed upon date during the 2014-2015 quail hunting season. Donated by Nancy Addison DNR Board Member.
