Item Description
Charles Daughtery was a master in his use of pure color fused with abstact design. Mr Daughtery was profiled by Life and Time magazines in 1937 and featured in Life in 1970.
This framed oil painting was purchased from a prominent Connecticut gallery in the 1970's and was recently appraised by the Spannerman Gallery on 57th Street in NYC for $5000.
The artist signed "Daughtery" in the lower left corner.
Outer measurements are 16" X 14 1/2";Inner measurements, 8 1/2" X 6 1/2"
The work is in Excellent condition.
