Item Description
Webster's Wine Bar - 2 glasses of wine & an appetizer (may choose any wine & appetizer on menu)
Webster’s Wine Bar was opened in 1994 by husband and wife team, Tom MacDonald and Janan Asfour, when they decided to quit their consulting careers in order to open a European-style wine bar. After over twenty years in business, we have grown from a modest list of mostly domestic wines and an electric pizza oven, to a selection of 20–30 wines by the glass and over 500 labels in the cellar, as well as an incredible team in the kitchen!
Our carefully curated list has helped us earn countless awards over the years, including being listed by the Wall Street Journal as one of the country’s top five wine bars. The global selections center on ethically-made wines and include numerous organic and biodynamic wines. We seek out wines crafted with as little intervention as possible, wines that truly speak about a particular place.
The incredible team of wine savvy, friendly staff has traveled to scores of wine regions in more than 10 countries, learning about the winemakers, vineyards and cultures of the wine directly from the source. These adventures are led by our fearless chief expeditioner, Jeremy Quinn (who also happened to be awarded 2012 Sommelier of the Year from Food & Wine magazine). The experiences are as fun as they are educational—allowing us a firsthand look at the people and places behind the bottles. We bring back the stories, the recipes, the pictures and the passion to share with our friends and customers as often as we can.
Webster's Wine Bar is located at 2601 N. Milwaukee Ave.
