This is a very orante stein. The handle is made to resemble a branch. The designs throughout are raised and have vivid colors. The stein has a pewter lid which is loose. Many steins had their pewter lids removed to be melted down during the war. The stein has a pearlized bands along the top and botom of the stein. There is a village scene with people drinking and socializing while other play musical instruments. There is a German saying on the side of the stein.
The pewter lid has ornate markings. There are no markings on the botom of the stein. The detailing is exquisite and it stands 9" high without the lid. Including the lid, the stein is 12" tall. The opening at the top is 3 1/4" and the base diameter is 4 3/8".
With the exception of the loose pewter lid, the stein is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing.
