French America Line, America’s first premium river cruise line, is introducing a new era of boutique U.S. river experiences with the launch of the intimate 75-stateroom flagship Louisiane. Formerly the Columbia Queen, she is undergoing a multimillion dollar refurbishment to reflect a subtle but elegant French-inspired ambience to embrace the rich history of the areas she sails, once known as French America. Brimming with exquisite French style and the romantic joie de vivre of her home port of New Orleans, inaugural itineraries for a maximum of 150 guests with an attentive U.S. crew of 64 begins this fall.

The Lousiane’s small size allows her to access historic river ports on five American rivers that larger ships cannot reach. This creates a unique opportunity to see and experience ports that haven’t been accessed by a U.S. river ship in more than a decade, visiting places where larger riverboats cannot navigate.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore vibrant American cities and charming small towns brimming with history, local art, diverse music, architecture, scenic countryside and more. Enjoy the finest regional French, Southern and continental cuisine afloat by Regina Charboneau, French America’s award-winning Chef de Cuisine, and set your spirits soaring with the best-of-America onboard entertainment each night.

Pricing is virtually all-inclusive, with one-night pre-cruise deluxe hotel stay and breakfast; daily breakfast, lunch, dinner onboard in two open seating dining venues as well as 24-hour room service and free-flowing house wines, spirits, beers, artisanal coffees and teas, soft drinks, sparking and still water; nightly live entertainment; expert talks by onboard Illuminators™; Traveler Collection™ guided shore excursions and complimentary use of bicycles with helmets and maps for private explorations are included in the tariff. Optional Curator Collection™ and pre- and post-cruise experiences are also available.

Your gift certificate is valid for a cruise with an itinerary of eight days or less aboard the Louisiane in 2017. Where can the Louisiane take you on your next adventure through America? Will you be drawn to the charming plantation homes of the antebellum era and the French influences of Creole and Cajun culture in the Deep South, or will the spectacular scenery, Nordic touches, and friendly ambiance beguile your imagination in the Mississippi Headwaters? Perhaps the patchwork quilt of friendly towns and sophisticated cities of the River Crossroads region in the Ohio River Valley or the frontier spirit and historic sites of the Wilderness Rivers will inspire your curiosity.

Sail from the charms of the Mississippi Headwaters along the upper Mississippi to the intoxicating Creole, Cajun, and French tapestry of the Deep South. From the River Crossroads of the Ohio River Valley to the rugged beauty of Tennessee’s Wilderness Rivers region, the Louisiane will sweep you off your feet. With the soul of a romantic and the enthusiasm of an explorer, she has been specifically designed to offer unique itineraries such as voyages along the Red River, Arkansas River and the Illinois River. French America Line celebrates the cultural and epicurean influences of la belle France mixed with warm Southern hospitality and refined, unobtrusive service.

You’ll stay in a French Balcony Stateroom, reflecting an elegant blend of a soothing color palette and classic architecture with every modern convenience, including satellite television and direct-dial telephones. These luxurious staterooms are gracefully furnished and include a French balcony to absorb the ever-changing landscape. Each offers a double armoire with built-in drawer storage, a desk, a seating area and two standard-sized twin beds that convert to one queen-sized bed. Closets contain more than enough space for your personal wardrobe, as well as plush spa-quality bathrobes and slippers.

The world is at your fingertips with an iPad® in your Stateroom on which you will find menus and daily programs, as well as e-books and articles relevant to the area in which the Louisiane is sailing. A gracious attendant is always at your beck and call, and you can rely on the convenience of complimentary 24-hour room service from a select menu.

Airfare is not included. Must reserve your cruise prior to April 30, 2017.
