Item Description
This package honors, "The Senator", a bald cypress tree that was one of the world's oldest living things. It includes a drawing of "The Senator" by artist Don Reynolds; a historic postcard of "The Senator"; and a charred piece of wood from the tree.
"The Senator" was a much-beloved, 3500 year old bald cypress tree that grew in Longwood, FL. Sadly, in 2012, the tree was burned down in an act of arson. Florida artist, Don Reynolds captured the tree while it was still thriving. The beautiful artwork of "The Senator" is one of his last numbered prints. The charred wood from the tree is inscribed with "The Senator". The spririt of this incredible tree lives on.
Item Special Note
The print measures 18"x25". It will be shipped unframed. The postcard is framed.
