Item Description

Bid on a one-day internship for your high school or college student at NBCUniversal at 30 Rockefeller Center in New York City. Your student will have the unique opportunity to shadow a Marketing executive in their Cable Entertainment Networks Group --- home of the Emmy Award-winning Mr. Robot, plus critically acclaimed shows such as Suits, The Magicians, The Expanse and Colony, and TV favorites such as the Sharknado franchise, WWE Raw and Chrisley Knows Best. They will learn firsthand what goes into getting new shows launched and how shows are marketed.

Your student’s host for the day will be, Lamont Swittenberg, who is head of Marketing Strategy for USA and Syfy Networks and a seasoned Marketing executive. In addition to NBCUniversal, Lamont has worked for world-renown brands such as Virgin, Coca-Cola, Cadbury Schweppes/Dr Pepper, and HP. He has also worked on the advertising/media agency side of the business.

In addition to the opportunity to shadow Mr. Swittenberg, your student’s internship will include:
âÂÂ?ÂÂ? A behind the scenes tour of 30 Rock
âÂÂ?ÂÂ? Meetings with the President and the Chief Marketing Officer of USA and Syfy Networks
âÂÂ?ÂÂ? An opportunity to select a specialty marketing/creative area for a more in-depth discussion/informational interview
âÂÂ?ÂÂ? An opportunity to meet with a recent hire/entry-level marketing manager to get the “scoop”
âÂÂ?ÂÂ? Lunch in the famous NBC Commissary
âÂÂ?ÂÂ? An NBC swag bag

Note: Internship is unpaid. This experience will take place on a mutually agreed upon date between 12/1/2016 and 12/1/2017. Student must provide their own transportation to/from 30 Rockefeller Center.
