About the show:

Noël Coward's uproarious comedy Present Laughter returns to Broadway under the direction of Tony-nominee Moritz von Stuelpnagel (Hand to God), for a strictly limited engagement.  And, after a decade-long absence, Kevin Kline also makes his return to Broadway, in the very same theater where he performed his first Tony Award-winning turn in On the Twentieth Century.  In Present Laughter, he is joined by an incredible cast including Cobie Smulders, Kate Burton, and Kristine Nielsen.

SYNOPSIS: Noel Coward's totally-irresistible and semi-autobiographical comedy follows a self-obsessed actor in the midst of a mid-life crisis. Freely indulging his considerable appetite for wine, women and sleeping late, the theatre’s favorite leading man suddenly finds himself caught between fawning ingénues, crazed playwrights, secret trysts and unexpected twists.

About Cobie Smulders:

Her performance in Present Laughter marks Cobie Smulders' Broadway debut. She is best known for her roles as "Robin Scherbatsky" on the hit television series How I Met Your Mother (2005–2014) and as "Maria Hill" in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. 

Among her film work, Smulders has appeared in Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, The Avengers, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, The Lego Movie, The Intervention, Unexpected, Results, Delivery Man, They Came Together, and Safe Haven.  Upcoming films include: Literally, Right Before Aaron; Why We’re Killing Gunther; and Songbird.

In addition to her nine seasons on "How I Met Your Mother," Smulders also stars in "A Series of Unfortunate Events," and appeared in "The L-Word". Upcoming television credits include: "Friends From College".
