Item Description
This antique Lionel freight train was manufactured in the late 1940s, the first years of Lionel production after WWII. The set has fine detail, steel wheels, operating knuckle couplers that are electronically open and even an operating milk car where the freight man places milk containers on the platform at the push of a button. The set consists of the following: #224 2-6-2 steam locomotive with headlight #2224W tender with whistle unit #3472 operating milk car with platform and cans #6462 New York central gondola car #5364 Pennsylvania caboose with light #1042 75 watt transformer #6019 027 gauge remote control track 027 gauge straight track 027 gauge curved track Original instructions Follow the directions for setting up this original freight set, turn on the transformer, and have fun!
