Item Description
This poster for the annual 1986 Corn Hill Festival was printed by Canfield & Tack Inc. It is printed on 65 lb. paper and is in excellent condition with no tears or wear on the edges. It features a Victorian era scene from the Corn Hill area in a romantic style. It measures 23" x 29 5/8." Dick Lubey passed away in 2014. Dick was a notable artist in the Rochester area, specializing in illustrations and portraiture. His desire to draw began at age five and his professional career began while serving a tour with the U.S. Army as an illustrator. He later founded one of the largest advertising art studios in upstate New York and, after 30 years of commercial success, his portraiture work came to the forefront. He was labeled as one of Rochester's best portrait artists for his ability to capture not only the faces of his subjects but also their spirit in portrait biographies. Hewas a man with a pure, kind heart. Known by all as passionate, thoughtful, gentle, and gracious. He opened our eyes to things we never would have seen and leaves behind a legacy of generosity and creativity.
