Item Description
American artist Robert Mapplethorpe (1946-1989) is undoubtedly one of the most important photographers of the twentieth century. Known for his black and white photography of male and female nudes inspired by the sculpture of classical antiquity and the Renaissance, This poster, titled Poppy, 1988 depicts the delicate underside of a yellow poppy flower. Captured with stunning light in Mapplethorpe's classic style. A lovely image to add to your collection. The poster is in excellent condition and measures 39 inches in height and 27 inches in width.
