Item Description
The lucky winer of this lot will win two legendary Napa Cabernet wines in a beautiful leather box.
- Louis Martini Lot 1 Cabernet 2012, 750ml
The Martini family has been crafting world-class Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa and Sonoma's finest vineyards since 1933. They were one of the pioneer wine making families in the region.
The concept of lot wines at Louis M. Martini dates back to 1952, when Louis P. Martini first made good, luxury Cabernet Sauvignon wines from selected vineyards that he named by lots. Today, they continue the legacy, selecting the best grapes from Napa Valley’s extraordinary mountaintop and benchland vineyards for this wine. Lot 1 is a sought-after wine that captures the essence of Napa Valley’s distinctive terroir.
From Wine Advocate: "A dense and rich red with dark berry and mineral character. Full body, round and velvety tannins and a fresh finish. A cabernet with lots of fruit but shows tension and balance. Drink or hold."
- Opus One 2013, 750ml
A very dry and unseasonably warm winter gave the vines an early start to the 2013 growing season and set in motion what would become an extraordinary vintage for Opus One. Flowering occurred under near-perfect conditions which led to excellent fruit set throughout our Oakville estate vineyards and ensured a bountiful harvest – though smaller than the previous year.
From Wine Spectator: "The greatest Opus ever. Terrific aromas of crushed black currants, blueberries and flowers with hints of sweet tobacco. Roses continue to exude opulence and class. Full body, superb balance of ultra-fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Complex aftertaste of black fruits and citrus fruit. Extremely persistent. So approachable now and enjoyable. But will be even better in 2019 and beyond."
