Item Description
Al Hirschfeld chronicled nearly all the major entertainment figures of the 20th century. His output included over seventy years of work for The New York Times with distinctive portraits of Broadway stars and celebrities. This portrait of Pillow founder Ted Shawn was done in the final years of Hirschfeld’s life as a commission for the Pillow’s 70th anniversary.
