Item Description

These lovely solid wood chairs (perhaps mahogany?) were imported from Hong Kong and have vintage, asian-inspired fretwork along the sides. They have beautifully hand-woven hemp seats and are from the 1930s/1940s with a graceful, ageless design. The chairs measure 37" high, 21.5" wide and 17.5" deep. Originally, they were most likely bought at Gump's of Honolulu or Grossman Moody's--the only high-end furniture stores in Honolulu at that time. These types of vintage items are difficult to find nowadays and would make an elegant addition to your home.

There is what appears to be water damage on the corner of one chair and the weaving is frayed on another. (see photos)

Item Special Note

All antique and vintage products may have flaws and show age and wear and tear, because they are old and previously used and loved. This is part of their character and appeal.
