Item Description
The Space
Schladern is a nice town in beautiful Windeck. The hiking trails are very popular, as are the local beergarden (Elmores) and the fortified castle ruins of Burg Windeck. Bonus: Package includes a couple of hiking tours, including one to our 1000-year-old castle ruins in the hills
Guest Access
There is a sauna in the house, and for 10 EUR per day it can be used any time you want.
Interaction with Guests
As much, or as little, as they want.
The Neighborhood
150m from my house, through a residential area, you reach the hiking trails through the forest - and you can make it to Burg Windeck in approx. 30 minutes. So we are pretty rural... On the other hand, the house in 80m from the local Regional Express train line (RE9 + S-12), and you can make it to Cologne Main Train Station (Köln Hauptbahnhof) in 45 minutes.
Getting Around
RE 9 (RegionalExpress) + S-12 (S-Bahn) - straight into Cologne in 45 minutes (60 minutes by S-Bahn).
Item Special Note
Smoking is only allowed outside, but there are several terraces and balconies to choose from. Pets are only allowed if clarified in advance (outside pets, never a problem).
