8" x 10" print in a 12" x 14" black frame with white mattingTerry Gydesen spent a month on Prince’s European Tour in 1993 with behind the scenes access that no other photographer has ever had. Paisley Park produced a book of her photos from this time Prince Presents the Sacrifice of Victor. This rare book is a well sought out collector’s item.Gydesen has been a freelance documentary photographer for more than 30 years. She is known for her work documenting politicians including Jesse Jackson, for whom she worked as staff photographer for his 1988 presidential campaign; and Senator Paul Wellstone, who considered her his unofficial, official photographer. Gydesen also documented the musician Prince during his 1993 European tour with special behind-the-scenes access that no other photographer was granted. She has received numerous awards and fellowships including The 2017 McKnight Artist Fellowship, as well as a three time winner of The McKnight photography Fellowship, and three MN Arts Board grants. Her work is a part of the Minnesota 2000 project with the Minnesota History Center. Gydesen has two books: Twelve Years and Thirteen Days: Remembering Paul and Sheila Wellstone, published by the University of Minnesota Press; and Prince Presents the Sacrifice of Victor, published by Paisley Park Enterprises.
