Item Description
Print - Transformation
This is a print of an original piece of art done in pencil and acrylic paint image of the progression from caterpillar to Monarch butterfly. The image size is 8” X 10”and it has been mounted in an 11” X 14” white mat ready for a standard 11” X 14” frame. The original painting depicts the marvelous transformation that occurs on the common milkweed plant. The process begins in the spring when the Monarch butterflies lay eggs on the plants. The eggs hatch into caterpillars, and after two weeks generate silk to create shiny green chrysalises. After another 10 days, a colorful Monarch butterfly emerges!
