Item Description
Made specfically for and donated by the artist Eluid Levi Martinez for this auction. The artist's last TEMPTATION was made in the early 1990's. Other TEMPTATIONS are in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian's American Art Museum, the Museum of American Folk Art and the NM Museum of International Folk Art. The artist is featured in Herbert W. Hemphill's book TWENTIETH-CENTURY AMERICAN FOLK ART AND ARTIST and may be the sole surviving artist included in that book.
