Item Description
Paul and Susan spent 4 years living in Iran. While most Persian restaurants focus on kabobs and rice, Persian cuisine is much more than that, with complex stews with rhubarb, eggplants, or celery and rice flavored with tiny barberries or fava beans and dill and with tahdig, a crispy layer from the bottom of the pot. The successful bidder will watch Paul bake Persian bread in his brick oven, eat the bread with traditional appetizers, have rice and stew (your choice of type of meat or vegetarian) and kabob (again, a choice is offered), and dessert. Paul and Susan will be happy to talk about Iran, show you their carpets, and, if you like give you a private showing of their PowerPoint, "Women of Iran: Beyond the Chador."
