Step back in time to our 1927 OB Mermaid Cottage. Lovingly restored in 2014. If you appreciate true craftsmanship and dedication to detail, you will love this cottage!

Location, location, location! The cottage is located in an ideal neighborhood a short 10-minute walk to the beach or Newport Avenue (antique stores, restaurants, shops, boutiques, coffee houses, bars & more), close for convenience but far enough away to still enjoy your privacy, peace & quiet. Enjoy ample street parking in front of the cottage for guests.

Our guests love OB Mermaid Cottage! You enter our cottage through our Redwood Mudroom with beamed ceiling, comfortable benches for taking off shoes, hooks for outerwear and 100-year-old stained glass porthole windows. On a beautiful day open the top of the farmhouse door to let the outside in…

Once inside you immediately notice the Great Room's exposed beam ceiling. The detail and the color of the home will take you breath away. There is a large Samsung SmartTV, Bluray, and comfortable sofa and chair.

The Dining table seats 8-10 comfortably with a beautiful fireplace for those romantic evenings.

There is a beautiful redwood bar, which separates the great room from the kitchen. The kitchen is appointed with everything you'll need to put together a wonderful meal for yourself, your family and/or your guests. The farmhouse sink, copper counter tops, and colorful appliances add to the ambiance of OB Mermaid Cottage!!

The Sea Shell Master Bedroom and Sea Glass Bedroom have a comfortable queen-size bed and double size bed with Simmons Beautyrest & Tempur-Pedic mattresses. Each is topped with feather mattresses that will lull you to sleep. The Sand Dollar bedroom has two twin-sized beds with Simmons Beautyrest mattresses and gel foam toppers. There is a magical book nook located in this room, where you can snuggle in surrounded by books and Coastal trinkets.

The two bathrooms are like swimming into a Grotto. Custom showers with handmade fish tiles and pebble interior. Dual shower heads, benches, and body sprays will make this and enjoyable adventure under the sea. 

The entire cottage is surrounded by 270 degrees of deck on multiple levels. Off the kitchen is a wonderful deck with a BBQ and outdoor dining table. The front decks have a Swing, Redwood Life Guard Chairs and out door wicker sets. A large spiral staircase takes you up to the Crow’s Nest with a wonderful wicker set to sit and relax while you watch sunsets or fireworks from SeaWorld. It’s a magical spot to steal away beautiful moments during the day. On July 4th you can see multiply firework displays from the Crow’s Nest!! The Redwood Outdoor Shower is a wonderful way to wash off sand from your beach day with a fabulous Large Rain head showerhead.

The OB Mermaid Cottage has a keyless entry, safe, all quality linens, a fully equipped kitchen, wireless high speed internet, Cox Cable in one bedroom and the Great Room, Blu-ray/DVD players, washer/dryer, dishwasher, trash compactor, microwave, range, refrigerator, BBQ, Ceiling Fans, everything to make your stay enjoyable!
