Situated on 96 beautiful acres in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee, this garden features numerous specialty gardens and plant collections. The renowned Seijaku-en, Japanese Garden of Tranquility, is a popular attraction, with its recognizable red drum bridge and unique cultural features. The Herb Garden is one of the largest in the nation, and offers unique opportunities for programming and visitor experience. Most recently, Memphis Botanic Garden has completed renovations of the Sculpture Garden and Rose Garden, both areas that provide beautiful settings for visitors to enjoy, as well as scenic spots for special events and weddings.
Mike Allen became executive director of MBG at the beginning of 2017, bringing a wealth of business and nonprofit management expertise. His career has included 25 years with International Paper Company. He plans to implement a number of ideas that will raise the garden's profile in the next several years.

Best times to visit: Spring and fall are especially lovely, though any time of year has something to offer.
