The northern island nation of Iceland is one of the year’s hottest destinations for tourists. Don’t let the cold deter you; Iceland might be near the top of the world (just below the Arctic Circle), but its winter temperatures can be warmer than those in New York. Iceland’s dramatic natural wonders are nothing short of magical, making this an enchanted adventure of a lifetime.

Hotel Accommodations
Enjoy a 5-night stay for two in a standard room at the Hilton Reykjavik Nordica, Raddison Blu or comparable hotel in Reykjavik.  The capital city is world-renowned for its culture, history and natural beauty on all fronts. Includes roundtrip motor coach transportation to and from Keflavík International Airport (KEF).

Northern Lights by Boat (September to mid-April)
Iceland is one of the best places in the world to witness the wonder of the northern lights. As you sail away from the coastline of Reykjavik you can see the aurora borealis out on the North-Atlantic Ocean with the beautiful coastline of the capital, the mountains and city lights in the background.  Your expert guide will entertain you with the folklore and scientific facts about this magical light show. Your 2-3 hour tour includes warm overalls since it does get chilly and much of the time will be spent outside gazing at the night sky. This boat tour is subject to weather conditions. If it is too windy to venture out to sea, the northern lights tour will be by bus. Includes motor coach transportation to and from hotel.

Should you choose to explore Iceland from late-April to September, Reykjavik Whale Watching will be substituted for the Northern Lights Tour.  During the summer months in particular, the shores become a veritable feeding ground for multiple species of large marine mammals, including Minke and Humpback whales, dolphins and porpoises. This guided boat tour includes admission to the Whale Watching Centre and special suits for your comfort and warmth.

Blue Lagoon
Take a dip in the famous Blue Lagoon geothermal spa, truly one of the wonders of the world!  Surrounded by immense lava fields, the seawater in the Blue Lagoon provides an oasis of relaxation. The sauna and steam rooms, carved into the lava rock, reflect the stunning landscape around the Blue Lagoon. Enjoy the Silica Mud Mask and feel a difference in the softness of your skin. The man-made waterfall works wonders on sore shoulders and stiff muscles. Includes motor coach transportation to and from hotel.

Golden Circle Tour
Visit some of Iceland’s most stunning sights, starting with the Geysir geothermal area where the Strokkur geyser shoots a column of water up to 98 ft. into the air every 4-8 minutes in a thrilling display of nature’s forces. The visit continues with Gullfoss (Golden Falls) waterfall, which tumbles and plunges into a crevice some 105 ft. deep. Gullfoss is known for its breathtaking power and the rainbows that are thrown from its spray on a sunny day. The 8 hour tour also includes the historical and geological wonder that is Thingvellir (Þingvellir) National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where the tectonic plates are pulling apart at a rate of a few centimeters per year.  Also enjoy a stop at Friðheimar greenhouse cultivation center, where you can learn about the magic behind growing vegetables with the aid of Iceland’s abundant geothermal heat. Includes motor coach transportation to and from hotel.
