Item Description
A pair of passes to tour two early 19th Century historic homes in downtown Charleston, the Nathaniel Russell House and the Aiken-Rhett House.
Built in 1818, the Aiken-Rhett House is an expansive house and back lot including slave quarters, kitchen and carriage block. The home survives as one of the best preserved collections of 19th Century domistic buildings in the nation.
The Nathaniel Russell House showcases one of the finest neoclassical dwellings in the country. Speaking to the wealth of Charleston's elite in the early days of the American Republic, the home features a free-flying staircase along with grand interiors and a remarkable collection of 18th Century decorative and fine art.
Donated by Historic Charleston Foundation.
