Screenwriter David Misch (Mork and Mindy, Saturday Night Live, The Muppets Take Manhattan, Funny: The Book) presents an illustrated in-home comedy talk in your home or other venue of your choosing.*

Winning bidder has option of picking one of three talks:

  • The Shame of Satire asks whether satire can go too far and answers “Yes! That’s the point!” Examples include Jonathan Swift, Stephen Colbert, Key & Peele, Monty Python, "Saturday Night Live" and the Russian Orthodox Church. 
  • The History of Ha! explores how comedy has evolved from ancient Greece to “Modern Family.” 
  • The 15 Greatest Satirical Songs includes Randy Newman, Weird Al Yankovic, Steve Martin, Amy Schumer, Gilbert & Sullivan, Chuck Berry, Groucho Marx, Spinal Tap, “South Park” and Bugs Bunny.

David Misch has written and produced comedy for over 40 years. He's also an author playwright, songwriter, blogger and recovered stand-up comic, and has lectured around the world, at the Smithsonian Institute, Yale, Oxford, the American Film Institute, the Grammy Museum, and the University of Sydney.
