This piece will be on exhibit at Machines with Magnets as part of the CSPH's gallery show - Bodies: I live here - between March 23 and April 7.
This bright and beautiful floral embroidery was stitched by hand and centers a portion of one of rupi kaur's poems from her book Milk and Honey. The design is featured in a 10" pressed wood embroidery hoop. This piece will be a delightful, delicate, unique addition to any home! Display on a shelf beside beloved books, or hang with ribbon as an accent piece on a wall in your favorite room.
Artist Bio
Melanie Lucash is an east coast-based sexuality educator and lover of hoop art. She's been stitching since adolescence, and specializes in floral art in both embroidery and cross-stitch. This piece was inspired by poetry published by rupi kaur.
