Enjoy this exclusive guided tour of the Clark Art Institute for a group of up to 6 people. Lunch in the Clark’s Café 7 or Stone Hill Café for your group will make the visit particularly memorable. At the Clark’s campus, located in Williamstown, Massachusetts you will be welcomed to one of the nation's premier art destinations. Enjoy the Clark's magnificent collection including its treasured collection of French Impressionist paintings, its American decorative arts galleries, and special exhibitions in all three of the campus’s main exhibition spaces. If you visit in summer 2018, you will have the opportunity to explore the work of more than 30 women artists in the exhibition Women Artists in Paris: 1850-1900 and discover exceptional wrought iron work in the exhibition The Art of Iron. A special selection of video installations by Jennifer Steinkamp brings a contemporary look at nature to the Clark’s Lunder Center at Stone Hill, while a photography show in the Manton Research Center examines A City Transformed: Photographs of Paris, 1850-1900. The Clark’s noted permanent collection includes European and American paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts, including works by John Singer Sargent, Winslow Homer, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, and J.M.W. Turner among many others.
Surrounded by 140 acres of expansive lawns, meadows, and walking trails, the Clark is located in a setting of profound natural beauty. Both the Clark Center, designed by Pritzker Prize-winner Tadao Ando, and the sweeping landscape design by Reed Hilderbrand Landscape Architects have won numerous awards and accolades. Discover the Clark’s new reading room in the Manton Research Center and enjoy exploring its renowned art history library. Walking trails traverse the property, including trails up historic Stone Hill, whose summit offers a spectacular view of Williamstown and the Green Mountains of Vermont and hosts Thomas Schütte’s architectural sculpture installation,Crystal.
