Item Description
'Stasis' Wet collodion tintype photography was used to capture a staged fictional world, literally. Using a 19th century large format studio camera the artist photographed genuine found objects from the 1800s or earlier to create vignettes of daily life from a past generation. Each photo cannot be reproduced or copied. This piece represents "Stasis," and our continual search for finding balance within our past and present lives. The artifact photographed is a 1860s Harp scale.
