From the Artist:  Forget-me-nots are tiny flowers that pack lots of symbolism; growing affection between two people, love that never dies, and remembrance of those who have passed. I chose to paint this flower for a combination of the meanings and how it can be different to each one of us.

About the Artist:  Jessica Quinn grew up in Waterloo, Iowa where she took all the art classes she could in high school, except drawing class, for fear of having to draw people. She particularly enjoyed photography and was found in the darkroom any free chance she got.
 
She is drawn to the beautiful and sometimes almost alien appearance of things that are all around us in nature, but rarely seen. In her first series she focused primarily on plants and flowers. Drawn to the beautiful lines and flowing movement within them Jessica’s paintings allow her to share a piece of how she sees her subjects with you.
 
Jessica received her Bachelors of Art in Art Education from the University of Northern Iowa where she discovered her love of painting in watercolor, ink, acrylic and oils. Since 2014 Jessica made the decision to focus on her art full time. Her current emphasis is on oil painting and she has created a sizable collection of floral and floral abstract paintings.
 
Though she has primarily focused on oil painting, Jessica has also taken classes in screen printing, stained glass, abstract oil painting, and water color classes.  She has been commissioned on several private murals as well as sold oil paintings to collectors in Iowa, Kansas, Vermont, Florida and California.
