Item Description
James Walker
Growing up in Maine, I developed a deep appreciation for each season, and also, the subtle transitions between seasons, as reflected in the Divinely rich and complex beauty of the natural world. This is largely my focus, but I also appreciate the lines and diversity of architecture, and well as the play with Beauty in surrealism and abstraction, both in the macro and the micro. I have photographed all of my life, but have become more engaged in this since I retired after 41 years of teaching English at Dedham High School. In the past couple of years I have begun to exhibit with the Dedham Square Artists Guild and have presented in the following shows: “Light,” “Windows and Doors,” “Small Things,” “Bold Color,” and currently in “Shapes and Lines.” I have nearly 9000 images in my library. Many are from Dedham, but they also range in locale from the East Coast to the West Coast and Hawaii.
