Item Description

Nicholas Mosse Pottery was established by Nicholas Mosse in 1976 after periods of training in England and Japan. His mission was to produce beautiful, functional pottery in the style of Irish Spongeware. Irish spongeware was the traditional pottery of Ireland used in the 18th Century. It was mainly made in simple honest shapes with a decoration applied with a cut sponge.  Today every piece of Nicholas Mosse Pottery is handmade in Ireland.

From serving milk at a family breakfast, pouring cream for dessert, or even holding fragrant flowers, this pottery jug is suitable for any occasion. This  handmade pottery piece has been carefully crafted to ensure the design is both durable and beautiful.

The Dog Pattern adds a hint of rustic charm to any handmade pottery collection.

Details: Cylinder measures 4 1/4" tall, 4" diameter at the base, 3 1/4" diameter at the top. Base is hallmarked Nicholas Mosse.  Condition: New, no cracks, chips, or crazing.
