Note regarding fees: 

The only fees that might be assessed are a State of Hawaii tax. All you need to do is book your week with the owner. There is no "mandatory expiration date."

The owner states "When they register at the front desk they will be asked for a credit card for a refundable security deposit, and there is a state of HI resort bed tax of some sort which is minimal - under $50 I think, but I am not exactly sure of the amount as I have never had to pay it myself when I was there."
