"We teach authentic karate-do, jiu-jitsu, and traditional Okinawan weapons (kobudo). In addition to teaching great self-defense, we teach our students to develop harmony, both with their inner selves and others.

By practicing martial arts, we learn to listen to our bodies and become more in tune with the world around us.

Our classes are designed to be developmentally appropriate for our students, with classes for toddlers, young children, pre-teens, teens, and adults. We find that our students become leaders in martial arts, focus, self-discipline, and respect for self and others:

Mini Ninja Parent and Me 2 1/2 – 4
Our youngest warriors learn karate through games and storytelling right alongside a caregiver. Curriculum focuses on attention, listening skills, basic martial arts movement, and tumbling.

Mini Ninjas – 4 – 5 years old
Our Mini Ninja students learn karate through progressively more advanced games and stories. These students are able to participate in a teacher led class without the need for parent involvement. They begin to learn martial arts with partners and some traditional movements, while learning heightened focus and attention skills.

Ninjas 6 – 7
Ninja age students begin to learn some of the traditional aspects of karate such as kata (forms), safe use of Okinawan Weapons (farm tools), and sparring.  Ninjas also learn more of the character development curriculum. We make time for fun games and drills too!

Samurai 8 – 10
Samurai age students are able to practice techniques for longer periods of time, allowing them to develop martial arts skills that powerful and effective. In addition to the full traditional curriculum, they begin to learn other styles that blend well with karate, such as jiu-jitsu, Aikido, and muay thai. Samurai may also qualify for advanced events such as training retreats.

Shogun 11 – Adult
The adult program teaches a blend of striking arts as well as jiu-jitsu. Many of the adult students describe significant mental benefits from their training in addition to learning effective self-defense. The adult program offers many opportunities to learn, both in class and at training retreats."
