Item Description
Private in-home wine class for up to 8 people. Enjoy a fun, relaxed evening with SIEF Parent and Sommelier, Adrian Weisell.
Even amongst wine professionals it is often said that Italian wines are their weakness. And with good reason too! With more indigenous grape varieties than any other country in the world, classified by a myriad of laws and subdivisions it is no wonder people find Italian wines intimidating. This wine class will look to break through the confusion in a fun and relaxed environment. Tasting and comparing is the first step, relating some Italian wines with more commonly known grapes like Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Malbec, Chardonnay as well as possible food pairings. The class, however, looks to go further by offering geographic and historical contexts as an additional approach to help demystify the wealth and patrimony of Italian wines.
As an American born and raised in Rome, Adrian has straddled American and Italian culture his whole life. Having worked as a Sommelier in some of New York and Chicago's most known Italian restaurants he has developed an passion and expertise in Italian wines.
