Item Description
Mrs. Klapperich's kindergarten class collaborated on a traditional, hand-printed etching. Each child drew on their own copper plate their interpretation of a magical, mythological or imaginary creature. In the Crown Point Press studio I etched each plate in acid and then inked them individually. I tiled all of the inked plates on the etching press and printed them together onto a sheet of 24x24 in. cotton rag paper. The final etching is framed and accompanied by photographs of the process.
Item Special Note
The project was facilitated by parent Emily York, Crown Point Press' Senior Master Printer.
