Item Description

Striking Tuareg Trio: The traditionally-nomadic Tuareg people are indigenous to the Sahara desert. They are often called "the Blue People of the desert" due to the indigo dye they use on their garments that stains their skin. This stunning artisan-crafted set has a uniquely modern feel. The 20" hand-forged silver chain necklace features a curved silver pendant with inlays of ebony wood. The silver bracelet also has ebony inlay and detailed, incised patterns. The silver dangle earrings have ebony inlay as well. This beautiful set was acquired by C.A.S.E. therapist, Madeleine Krebs, when she served in Niger as a Peace Corps Volunteer from 1992 - 1994. Be sure to view these other hand-crafted Tuareg items: #209, #229 and #230.
