www.inkaterra.com

Established in 1975, Inkaterra has been at the forefront of ecotourism and sustainable development in Peru. Inkaterra has spent the past four decades dedicated to authentic travel experiences, aiming to preserve biodiversity and local cultures. Its sustainability efforts have gained them membership with diverse alliances, such as Relais & Châteaux, Virtuoso and National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World.

Luxury standards are achieved in all hotels, defined for their eco-friendly design inspired by traditional architecture and built with native materials, in harmony with the environment. You will have a two night stay at each of these Inkaterra properties: Reserva Amazonica, Machu Picchu Pueblo and Hacienda Urubamba, located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

An eco-luxury lodge fronting Madre de Dios River, Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica has 35 wooden cabanas inspired by the Ese’Eja culture. 540 bird species have been inventoried in hotel grounds, deep in the rainforest.

Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica is adjacent to the lush Tambopata National Reserve, where the Madre de Dios River meanders through the Southern Peru rainforest region, known as the Biodiversity Capital of Peru.

The property offers a varied selection of à-la-carte excursions, including a visit to the Inkaterra Canopy Walkway, a bridge system at 30 meters above the ground, allowing adventurers to enjoy a privileged view of the Amazon. In 2013, Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica was selected by National Geographic Traveler magazine among the world’s 25 best eco-lodges.

You’ll have two-night accommodation in a Rio Superior at Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica. Full board with various a-la-carte guided excursions, transfers from the airport to the Lodge and return are included.

Enjoy an expansive view of the Madre de Dios River, from your comfortable Ese ‘Eja- style, high thatched roof wooden cabaña of 408 square feet, comprised of a twin bedroom with canopy mosquito net, outfitted with 100% cotton sheets and hypoallergenic pillows. Plush bathrobes and Andean rubber slippers are additionally supplied for your comfort.

The open plan bathroom comes complete with a separate shower stall and toilet, hot water, large towels, and a complete set of ecologically friendly toiletries. An inviting screened siesta lounge area with hammocks, beckons one to rest and relax in the cabaña after a day’s jungle journey. Supreme indulgence and sublime amenities await you at the Superior Rio cabañas.

Activities include a Walk through the Inkaterra Ecological Reserve at night. Biological activity differs greatly between night and day in the Amazonian ecosystem. Venture into the forest and experience the mystery of the animal activity that awakens in the rainforest after dark, enhancing animal resources to create new adaptation mechanisms. Listen to nocturnal forest sounds and spot species that only emerge at night.

A visit to Machu Picchu Citadel is truly a once in a lifetime experience. You will marvel at this spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site, while also having the chance to enjoy a village, the beauty of the cloud forest and a Historical Reserve, truly one of the World’s 7 New Wonders.

Your stay at the Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel will be in a Junior Suite Deluxe Casita, Half-board (buffet breakfast, a-la-carte dinner), and includes excursions within the hotel grounds: Nature Walk, Orchid Garden, Bird Watching, Twilight Walk and Tea House. Assistance between Machu Picchu Pueblo train station and the hotel is also included.

Popular with those heading to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu, Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel is an intimate Andean village with terraced hills, waterfalls, stone pathways and 83 whitewashed adobe casitas tucked away in the cloud forest. Member of National Geographic Unique Lodges of the World, the property has 12 acres of exquisite natural beauty, where 214 bird species – such as the golden-headed quetzal and the iconic Andean cock-of-the-rock – and the world’s largest native orchid collection (372 species) have been registered.

Your expanded Junior Suite has a lavish bathroom that includes a marble basin and telephone. One king or two twin beds, 100% cotton sheets along with hypoallergenic pillows, a colonial style wardrobe, a room heater, separate sitting, dining for two, minibar, a plasma screen with DirecTV and work area in front of a fire place, provide this casita with additional comfort.

Amenities include Andean slippers crafted from recycled materials, robes, safety box, iPod speakers, a complete set of environmentally friendly toiletries, and a complimentary bottle of Pisco.

Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba is a contemporary hacienda-style hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, in-between Cusco and Machu Picchu. Immersed in the countryside in a gorgeous area, Inkaterra Hacienda Urubamba spans approximately 100 acres surrounded by imposing green mountains.

All rooms in the Casa Hacienda and stand-alone luxury casitas feature breathtaking views of the valley, immersing guests in open space, serenity and relaxing solitude. Architecture and interiors are inspired on the area’s cultural history, with colonial furniture, authentic Inca masks and handcrafted woodwork that add to the hacienda’s local charm.

An Earth to Table concept is operated with a 10-acre organic plantation where guests are welcome to pick their own produce. Carbon-free crops such as quinoa, Urubamba giant corn, medicinal herbs and a variety of potatoes are farmed with traditional hand tools and oxen, as done centuries ago.

The Sacred Valley of the Incas is home of some of the finest Inca sites. The Valley’s good weather and beautiful scenery, picturesque villages, folk arts and crafts and friendly local people, reflect the authenticity of Peru. The valley is also a paradise for ecofriendly adventure sports such as trekking, horseback riding, mountain biking and rafting.

You’ll stay in an Urubamba Casita with breakfast included. Excursions within the hotel grounds are also included: Ecological Farm, Chicha de Jora, Twilight Mountain, Challa Huasi trail and Birds of Urubamba.

Your spacious, independent Casita has a chimney and terrace with panoramic view. Includes 2 twin/king beds, 100% pima cotton sheets, down duvet, hypoallergenic pillows and handmade wool coverlets.

For comfort, it is equipped with flat screen with DirecTV, Wi-Fi, iPad, minibar, safety box, cordless phone, a colonial style wardrobe, plus an inviting dining area for two.

Spacious bathroom with heated towel rail, Pima cotton towels, hairdryer, full length mirror, bio-degradable toiletries with natural essences, bathrobes and slippers. Housekeeping service three times daily.

All other expenses including train, airfare and local airport taxes, documentation required for travel, additional meals and beverages, gratuities, telephone and other charges associated with the use of the certificates are the responsibility of the high bidder to pay.
