Item Description
This dress was created by Margarita Álvarez, a designer born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, who was a finalist on season 16 of Project Runway.
Her inspiration was this Christian Dior bubble dress, which is made possible by its inner construction and draping, as well as a large bow at the center front that literally ties the dress together. Designed in 1956, it is a wonderful example of Dior’s loves of architecture and fashion.
