Item Description

Calling all Florida Panther's fans! This 8"x10" player photo autographed by Florida Panther's defenseman Keith Yandle belongs in your collection!

Keith Yandle bio:

Growing up in Milton, Mass., Yandle often dreamed of being a firefighter. In an odd sort of way, that's exactly what he's become. As an NHL defenseman, Yandle's first priority is to snuff out opposing offenses. Strangely, he's at his best when igniting them.

An explosive skater with outstanding passing and puck-handling skills, Yandle has become one of the NHL's best offensive defensemen. Yandle, a consistent leader among NHL defensemen in assists, power-play assists and power-play points, also has one of the game's most lethal shots and he's established himself as one of the game's best power-play quarterbacks. His NHL career, however, started rather humbly.

Despite recording 54 points (14 goals) in just 34 games at the Cushing Academy in Ashburnham, Mass., Yandle lasted until the fourth round of the 2005 NHL Draft, when the then-Phoenix Coyotes selected him with the 105th pick. Within a year, he made the Coyotes look like geniuses.

Yandle had 84 points (25 goals) and posted a plus-50 rating in 66 games for Moncton of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League to earn the Emile Bouchard Trophy as the league's top defenseman during the 2005-06 season.

Yandle was also named the Canadian Hockey League's Defenseman of the Year that season as he led Moncton to the QMJHL championship and a berth in the Memorial Cup, where he scored three goals in five games.

Yandle made his NHL debut in Phoenix's 2006-07 season opener and recorded his first NHL point - an assist - in the second game, but was sent to San Antonio of the American Hockey League after seven games.

After spending the first half of the 2007-08 season with San Antonio, Yandle returned to the Coyotes and scored his first NHL goal on Dec. 18, 2007, in a 3-2 victory against the Philadelphia Flyers. In 2009-10 he had his first 82-game season in the NHL and led the Coyotes with a plus-16 rating and tied for the lead with 16 power-play points.

Yandle was traded to the New York Rangers on March 1, 2015 and had 11 points in 19 Stanley Cup Playoff games for them that season. Slated to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2016, he was traded to the Florida Panthers on June 20, 2016, and three days later signed a seven-year contract.
