Winner of this auction item receives a "Fun Sewing Party" at Create! Sewing Studio in Acton. Bidder can bring up to 10 people (including the host).
Guests will get to sew their own pillow with a variety of fabrics that we provide. No previous sewing experience needed. All ages welcome, age 7 to Adult. Create! Sewing Studio provides all materials and tools for project and use of our brand new sewing machines. Our "Fun Sewing Party" also includes snacks and soft drinks. Total value is $250 ($50 deposit required when scheduling party. Deposit is refunded at party.). 

At Create! Sewing Studio we teach sewing to students of all ages (minimum: 6 years old). Create! is the premier private sewing school in the greater Boston area. Our students sew their projects on our brand new Viking Husquvarna sewing machines in a big, bright and sunny studio where our sewing instructors happily share their experience and knowledge. In our group classes we offer a 1:3 teacher:student ratio. This results in a high quality, super fun learning environment.

During the school year, children learn in sewing classes weekdays after-school and Saturdays. During school vacation weeks we offer Sew Fun 4 Kids™ February and April Vacation Sewing Camps and for 8 weeks in the summer we offer Sew Fun 4 Kids™ Summer Sewing Camps. Private and semi-private instruction for children is also available. Our Adult sewing students learn to sew in Adult Group Classes and with private instruction. Private and semi-private sewing lessons for adults and children and Parent/Child are available for a totally customized experience. In 2020 we will celebrate our 12th year of teaching sewing in Acton, MA.

Owner/Instructor Rebecca Szetela earned a BA in Art from Tufts University/Boston Museum School, and an MBA from Simmons School of Management. Before opening the sewing studio, Rebecca was a resident artist at The Emerson Umbrella Center for the Arts in Concord, MA. Rebecca also owned a successful graphic design business for 25 years. Rebecca has been teaching sewing in Acton for over 11 years and she is also a quilt artist and a member of the Concord Piecemakers Quilt Guild and SAQA (Studio Art Quilt Associates). Create!® Sewing Studio is located at 274 Great Road in Acton, MA 01720.  "Our mission is to encourage creativity through the medium of sewing." -- Rebecca

All winning bidders will be charged a transaction fee of 5% of their final bid, not to exceed $50 per item, to cover a portion of the auction transaction fees.  We thank you for bidding and supporting the Merriam School.
