Family Pass to Children's Museum of the Arts
At CMA, kids ages 0–15 work with teaching artists to create art, including drawings, sculpture, sound art, textiles, and stop-motion animation. The Museum maintains a collection of over 2,000 pieces of international children's art dating back to the 1930s from over 50 different countries! Explore the amazing exhibitions with your kids during what is bound to be an educational, art-filled afternoon!
Here's what other parents love about CMA:
"There are multiple amazing centers where the kids are assisted by staff in expressing their creativity. Through clay, paint, markers, and even their rotational chairs the kids were able to let go and have an amazing time. It’s mainly for the children but watching them unravel themselves in the safe and upbeat environment is fun to see. Definitely worth the visit!"
"We’ve been to a lot of kids museums with my 6 year old and this has got to be one of our faves so far. It’s not as big and overwhelming as some we’ve visited so it was perfect for a 2-3 hour outing. We really really enjoyed the Clay Workshop and the Sound Booth. A must recommend for anyone with kids"
"Interactive exhibits, fun activities, you can spend here hours with the kids."
As part of its mission to promote art for all children, CMA features programs and partnerships designed for children with learning disabilities, children in foster care, and children in homeless families.
It is located at 103 Charlton Street, Manhattan, New York, United States in the South Village district. Founded by Kathleen Schneider in 1988, CMA opened its new, 10,000-square-foot space in October 2011.
